LOTF given passage page 91

In this passage, Jack says "Bollocks to the rules." Ralph tries to tell him that the ruled are all that they have but he is more interested in causing chaos. This goes along with the trend of Ralph trying to maintain order and Jack trying to cause chaos. This trend is even more evident when they split up and Ralph's group thrives under order and Jack rises to power and maintains it through the creation of chaos.

This passage also mentions how the lawful word was slipping away and this became very evident. At the beginning of the book Ralph was decided as a leader and the conch represented the unity that they had. Then fear crept its way in in the form of the beast. Jack started using this fear to try and make his way to leader and him and his followers kept making progressively worse jokes about the littluns. They also started getting progressively more violent until they actually killed someone. This describes the big trends in Lord of the Flies.

  1. I agree, All Jack does is cause chaos and Ralph tries to keep him under control and it just doesn't end up working out.

Thanksgiving break can be so annoying. We have so much homework and it stresses me out the entire break. I wish we could have a whole break with no homework. But I guess that is just too much to ask for. I get that we need to keep our minds refreshed sometimes but we get so much homework it does so much more than that.        Thanksgiving is also just not my favorite holiday in general. We have to all just sit together and eat and it is so boring. Thursday was definitely my least favorite day of the break. It isn't my moms favorite holiday because eating food we don't especially like isnt our favorite pastime. So this holiday gets on my nerves.

Narrative response

I think that my personal narrative is definitely a work in progress but so far it is pretty good. I think that the writing small groups were very helpful and I got good, positive feedback on my narrative. Was told that my narrative had good vivid detail and I was glad because I know that that is something important in a personal narrative. I think that if I continue to improve and build on what I already have then it will become a very good narrative.      I thought that the feedback I got on how to improve my narrative was even better. I was told to add dialogue which I am struggling with but I know that it will be a lot better. I was also told to describe what the best part about cross country was and I think that it will be an interesting direction for the narrative to go in instead of just naming all of the things that I like. I think that this feedback will make the difference in a good grade and a bad one.

My favorite day of the week right now is Tuesday. Tuesday is just a mediocre day overall until the amazing hour of 7 pm. At 7 is when the flash comes on on the CW channel. It is Gregory and I's favorite show and it is an hour long. It just started its fourth season after a long break that was torturous.              I always go over to Gregory's house and we rotate who buys the pizza each week. It's always so much fun and it is something to look forward to on Mondays and Tuesdays which are usually the hardest days of the week. This is always a fun mark in my week that Gregory and I discuss. We end up theorizing about what we think is going to happen in the next episode. This makes Tuesdays just great.
