Harrison Bergeron is a quirky story with a cloudy message that people are still arguing about today. It's plot clearly follows the Freytag's pyramid diagram. It has very vivid detail yet it is still a pretty hard world to imagine as it is so far in the future. It seems to be a story designed by the author to ask someone what they define equality to be or if it is good or not.
The fact that the author was a socialist strikes me as odd as the government making everyone equal is the whole basis for socialism. I think that the idea suggested in class that he was making fun of the way people depicted socialism to be and not actual socialism was interesting. However, I thought of the story as more of something to ask the reader what equality really is.
