Semester reflection

This semester I have learned multiple things. The first of those is that you have to get a lot of sleep every night. You feel so much better in the morning so you can get to school on time. It also helps you to pay attention in class more and remember assignments which leads to better grades.

The second thing that I learned is that you have to check the calendar every night even when you are 99% sure that there is nothing you don't know about assignments. That brought my grade down a ton especially in Spanish. I lost many points in classes and that will not be happening during the second semester.

The most important thing that I have learned in the first semester is that time management is very important. Teachers in high school do not need to monitor everything you do to make sure you are on task. If you do not manage your time in class then you have more homework and you have no one to blame but yourself. Those are the most important things that I have learned.

  1. Great post Tucker! I agree with your second paragraph because sometimes I wouldn't check even after I finished my homework and I would miss something.

Thanksgiving break can be so annoying. We have so much homework and it stresses me out the entire break. I wish we could have a whole break with no homework. But I guess that is just too much to ask for. I get that we need to keep our minds refreshed sometimes but we get so much homework it does so much more than that.        Thanksgiving is also just not my favorite holiday in general. We have to all just sit together and eat and it is so boring. Thursday was definitely my least favorite day of the break. It isn't my moms favorite holiday because eating food we don't especially like isnt our favorite pastime. So this holiday gets on my nerves.

Narrative response

I think that my personal narrative is definitely a work in progress but so far it is pretty good. I think that the writing small groups were very helpful and I got good, positive feedback on my narrative. Was told that my narrative had good vivid detail and I was glad because I know that that is something important in a personal narrative. I think that if I continue to improve and build on what I already have then it will become a very good narrative.      I thought that the feedback I got on how to improve my narrative was even better. I was told to add dialogue which I am struggling with but I know that it will be a lot better. I was also told to describe what the best part about cross country was and I think that it will be an interesting direction for the narrative to go in instead of just naming all of the things that I like. I think that this feedback will make the difference in a good grade and a bad one.

My favorite day of the week right now is Tuesday. Tuesday is just a mediocre day overall until the amazing hour of 7 pm. At 7 is when the flash comes on on the CW channel. It is Gregory and I's favorite show and it is an hour long. It just started its fourth season after a long break that was torturous.              I always go over to Gregory's house and we rotate who buys the pizza each week. It's always so much fun and it is something to look forward to on Mondays and Tuesdays which are usually the hardest days of the week. This is always a fun mark in my week that Gregory and I discuss. We end up theorizing about what we think is going to happen in the next episode. This makes Tuesdays just great.
