Short Story

Me,  Josh, and Ethan were standing behind pillars in the quad 6th grade waiting to randomly attack Dillon Kong where wouldn't see us coming. We all ran at him and then started laughing but then I think he got mad. He started to chase me under the breezeway but he wasn't that fast and the wind in my face felt really nice. I was just running in circles while Josh and Ethan were laughing. Then Dillon started sprinting and I looked back and then as I was turning around, everything went black.      I was on the ground before I knew it and it took me a second to realize that I had ran into the brick column and that's why my head hurt so bad. Ethan and Josh showed up and looked shocked. I felt my head only to realize that there was a huge bump. everything from that moment on felt hazy. I felt like I was in a dream as I was being walked to the nurses' office. I got there and she told me that I had a concussion but to go to the doctor to make sure. Sure enough I had a c

Cress Reading Response

The second choice book I read over the summer is Cress. It is the third book in the Lunar Chronicles series. The book began with an introduction of a new character who the book is named after just like the last one. The fairy tale this book is themed after is Rapunzel. Cress is a Lunar shell which means she has no powers. She is supposed to be executed because she is a shell but instead she is locked away in a satellite. She is a hacker who wants to try and keep Cinder and Thorne safe. She messages them to come get her and that is where the action begins.     The introduction of Cress as a main character brings many new interesting plot elements and story lines into play. This also fills what I previously thought to be holes in the story or just questions I had. Cress was a really good book that I would definitely recommend reading after the earlier books in the series.

About me/expectations

Tucker     For this school year I have pretty high expectations. I want to get all A's in this class and in all of my other classes. I also want to be in more honors/AP classes next year than I am this year. I also want to find out more about myself academically and find out something that might want to major in when I am older. I want to do better in the sports that I play as well. I run cross country and track and I play basketball.      I have a dog that I love a lot and I have had her since second grade. I live with my mom, my dad, and my sister. In my free time I like to watch Netflix, play xbox, or shoot the basketball. I love having free time but with school and cross country I don't have that much of it. I'm not that interesting but thats me and my expectations.

Choice book response

Scarlet      A choice book that I read over the summer is called Scarlet and it is written by Marissa Meyer. It is the second book in the series with Cinder . The book introduces a new character named Scarlet , who has a missing grandmother that she wants to find. Everyone just thinks that her grandmother is crazy and that she just left but she knows better. She meets a mysterious guy who wants to help her find her grandmother. Meanwhile Cinder is escaping from jail trying not to get caught by Lunars or the people  of the Commonwealth. I thought that it was a good book and it was better than the first book in the series, Cinder , and I would recommend reading this book.      To me the book was both predictable and shocking at the same time and would actually recommend  it to people who like mystery books as well. The beginning of the book was kind of slow paced but the end was action-packed. I still enjoyed it a lot and read through it quickly. If u thought t
